Following the success of our workshop in Singapore, we are bringing our basic lighting for portrait photography workshop to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! To find out more about what we did previously in Singapore, go here.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn how to light up your models for portrait photography using Broncolor strobe/studio lights under the guidance of Mezame from The Art of Mezame and Emily from Emily Fliptography.
You will also learn how to use Capture One effectively for your photoshoots.

In this 6-hour long workshop, you will experience:
- Theory and Hands-on Practice: A lecture on lighting basics with live demo of setups, how to use modifiers and lights, and how to use Capture One 12 for tethered photoshoots
- Hands-on session with a photography project assigned to you (you will work in groups with a designated photo set and a model) – you will work together to meet the assigned objectives
- We will also share handy tips on photography to help you become better at your craft
Mezame will share how to light up subjects in a small space. Emily will also share how to be resourceful for your photoshoots if you are challenged with a small space.
This workshop is crafted to suit photographers of ages 18 and above, and is ideal for photographers who are new to artificial lighting in photography.
Basic understanding of your own camera setup/settings is mandatory. Remember to bring your own laptop!
