KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – From the 23rd to 25th August 2019, I went along with the team from Broncolor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. to participate in boothing for Broncolor lights, Phase One digital medium format cameras, EIZO ColorEdge hardware-calibrated monitors and Capture One Pro software at the VIVA Expo Hall. I also brought along my Wacom Intuos to show people how easy it is to retouch with a proper tablet.

We also had products from LoupeDeck+ and CamFi on hand to showcase. The LoupeDeck+ is an amazing device designed to make functions on software such as Capture One (currently in beta), Lightroom, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, etc. easily accessible.
A user is now able to use buttons and knobs for commonly used functions and work those colour-grading on images or videos’ in a seamless fashion. No more hunting or remembering shortcut keys and depending on a mouse or a track pad to get accurate readings on colour wheels. Just use knobs to get the right values!
Many visitors dropped by to take a closer look at what we had to offer. We had one-on-one live demonstrations for the Broncolor lighting systems and Phase One cameras and even a lucky draw for the Walkstool, a revolutionary and robust telescopic seat you can take anywhere – perfect for landscape photographers who need a rugged platform to sit on while waiting for the perfect shot to be crafted.
I also did a live demonstration for the EIZO ColorEdge CG2730 monitor’s hardware calibration feature, much to the excitement of many visitors who are unable to believe that a monitor is capable of self-calibration with or without being switched on, and yet still deliver accurate targeted results set by the user.

For Capture One Pro, I also showed how it fares compared to competing software and more importantly, how it can help photographers with their business from the perspective of a photographer and a business person.
