Hi Team! Make a date with The A-MEZ-ING Live Show on the 8th May 2020. We will be having freelance photojournalist Azmi Athni from Singapore. Azmi recently took captivating images of what went on while the rest of Singapore was asleep.
Working with the #UmbrellaInitiativeSG, he documented the actions of a few good-hearted volunteers who went around to homes of the underprivileged and rough sleepers around Singapore to distribute their pre-dawn and breaking of fast meals.

AZMI ATHNI is a freelance photojournalist based in Singapore. His body of work entails shooting a variety of subjects from all walks of life. He found passion in photojournalism during his teenage years while flipping through the National Geographic magazine and the newspapers his school provided as reading material.
It was then when he bought his first camera – a film SLR for a hundred dollars – and had not looked back since. Looking to pursue his dreams, he graduated from Republic Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mass Communication majoring in Journalism.
He is currently a stringer photojournalist with The Straits Times and Berita Harian, Singapore’s national English and Malay broadsheet. He also takes commissions for commercial work.
