The Art of Mezame Blog

Oh man! Sorry for the lack of updates, Team!

Posted on May 26, 2020June 1, 2020 by Mezame

Hi Team! I owe you guys an apology.

I truly do!

I have been so busy setting up my live-streams and juggling that with work and backlog that I completely had no time to update my blog. I apologize for the lack of updates 🙁

I hope you guys are doing OK. We are living in extraordinary times and I hope that everyone reading this and their loved ones are safe from the virus.

HOKAY! Now, I just want to share some quick updates. My live-stream channel on Twitch, The A-MEZ-ING Live Show, has grown into something bigger.

What started out as a personal project to reach out to the masses with a Capture One Pro seminar has evolved into something massive – a photography talk show supported by various brands and companies.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve also had amazing guest speakers join me on the show to share their knowledge and wisdom, their technical know-how, their vision, their hopes and dreams, their individual slice of life, and so on.

From Azmi Athni who did freelance journalism work to an ambassador for a huge brand like Phase One in the case of Sails Chong, the channel has reached out to hundreds of viewers, and I hope the viewers at home have gotten great takeaways. I, for one, learnt a lot – about photography, lighting, technicalities behind live-streaming, etc.!

Broncolor and Phase One Global Ambassador Sails Chong was my guest speaker on Episode 020 of The A-MEZ-ING Live Show.

Technicalities behind live-streaming? Yes. I realize it’s not easy doing this. I have to make preparations such as content and material, reach out to potential guests, some of whom are overseas, and still figure out how to monetize the platform as it’s a self-funded project and, truth be told, it’s kinda expensive to run if you think about it – from equipment to make the stream flow to, well, bills.

However, along the way, some kind folks have been generous! I’ve invested quite a lot of time and effort into this to make it work so I am thankful for all forms of support!

As of now, I am happy to share that SIGMA Singapore and Razer have come on board to support the channel, joining brands such as Broncolor Singapore, Carousell Singapore, EIZO Asia Pacific and Wacom Singapore.

Of course, I am open to any brand coming in to show support for the channel. If you wish to sponsor gear or sponsor an episode, feel free to reach out to me via email.

SIGMA Singapore has provided me with some lenses – the 12-24mm f2.8 DG DN, 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN and 16mm f1.4 DC DN – to support the channel. These lenses join my first SIGMA e-mount lens, the 70mm f2.8 DG Macro. I am very grateful for their support and trust in me.

No photo description available.

Razer has invited me to join their Razer TipStream beta program too. As of 18 May, supporters of the channel can tip or donate to the livestream via shards purchased with Razer Gold and attain Razer Silver here.

Accumulation of sufficient Razer Silver allows a viewer to redeem epic Razer gear including professional gaming mice, headsets and keyboards.

I also have upcoming guests from overseas – big names in the industry!

However, alas, I will be streaming only twice a week from now on. Streaming thrice a week is exhausting and I do not wish to burn out. There’s just a lot of work behind-the-scenes 🙂

I am now streaming on Tuesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 5pm (+8:00 GMT).

I thank you for your continuous support! Please Follow my Twitch channel featuring The A-MEZ-ING Live Show if you haven’t already, and Like my Facebook Page to keep yourself entertained and up to date to current going-ons.
